Chalet Mont Blanc is positioned on the Chamonix valley's south-facing slope at 1,200 metres, with an unobstructed view of the Mont Blanc massif from the Aiguille du Midi to the Dome du Gouter. The property was built from local granite and century-old larch timber, with a triple-height living space anchored by a stone fireplace. The lower level houses an indoor pool, sauna, and a guide room with topographic maps and mountaineering equipment storage. The view from Chalet Mont Blanc is, without exaggeration, one of the most dramatic mountain panoramas accessible from a private residence in the Alps. The Mont Blanc massif fills the entire southern horizon, from the needle-sharp Aiguille du Midi on the left to the snow dome of the Gouter on the right. In winter, alpenglow turns the summit pink for 20 minutes after the sun drops below the western ridge. In summer, the face is a constantly shifting composition of rock, ice, and cloud. The triple-height living space was designed to mirror the scale of the landscape. The stone fireplace rises the full height of the room, and the south-facing windows - six metres tall - admit enough light to make the space feel almost outdoor. The furniture is deliberately understated: deep sofas in natural linen, a dining table of oiled elm seating 14, and a collection of mountaineering photography on the walls. Seven bedroom suites are arranged across two upper levels. Five face south toward Mont Blanc; two face the quieter north side toward the forest - these are the rooms for light-sensitive sleepers. The master suite has a private terrace, a freestanding copper bathtub, and a dressing room. All suites have ensuite bathrooms with heated stone floors and walk-in rainfall showers. The guide room on the lower level reflects Chamonix's mountaineering heritage. Topographic maps of the massif cover one wall, and a storage area holds ice axes, crampons, harnesses, and ropes for guided excursions. The chalet works with two UIAGM-certified mountain guides who can lead everything from glacier walks suitable for beginners to technical ascents of the Aiguilles. The guide room also stores ski touring equipment for backcountry days in the Vallee Blanche or the Col du Chardonnet. The indoor pool is set against a glass wall on the lower level, with the Mont Blanc view visible from the water. A Finnish sauna and a cold plunge pool sit adjacent. The gym, equipped with Technogym machines and free weights, occupies a separate room with rubber flooring and mountain views. Chamonix town centre is a 10-minute drive, with its restaurants, bars, and the Aiguille du Midi cable car departure point.
