Chalet Medran

Chalet Medran occupies the most coveted position in Verbier: directly beside the Medran gondola station, the main lift that accesses the 4 Vallees ski domain. Guests step from the boot room onto the snow, click into bindings, and reach the gondola in 30 seconds without touching a road. At the end of the day, the blue piste that descends from Les Ruinettes delivers skiers directly to the chalet's terrace. This ski-in/ski-out convenience, in a resort where most chalets require a shuttle or a walk through town, justifies the premium alone. The chalet was built in 2019 using reclaimed timber from a dismantled Valais barn and local stone from the Entremont quarries. The design is contemporary Alpine: clean lines, double-height glass in the living room, and a palette of warm wood, grey stone, and white plaster. The main living space, centred on a suspended gas fireplace, opens onto a south-facing terrace with an outdoor dining table and a hot tub positioned to face the Grand Combin massif. Six bedrooms are distributed across three floors, each with en-suite bathrooms finished in Vals quartzite and underfloor heating. The master suite occupies the top floor with a private balcony, a walk-in wardrobe, and a freestanding tub by the window. A bunk room on the lower level sleeps four children. The private spa occupies the basement level: a 10-metre indoor lap pool, a sauna, a hammam, a cold plunge, and a treatment room where a visiting therapist provides massages and physiotherapy. The boot room, heated and ventilated, stores and dries equipment for 14 guests and includes a ski-tuning bench. Verbier village, with its restaurants, bars, and boutiques, is a 5-minute walk downhill. The Verbier Festival, one of Europe's most prestigious classical music events, takes place each July and August, transforming the resort into a cultural destination outside the ski season.
