Villa Romazzino commands the western tip of the Romazzino headland, one of the Costa Smeralda's most exclusive promontories. The property occupies 2 acres of Mediterranean maquis between the sea on three sides, with views north to the granite islands of the Maddalena archipelago and south along the emerald coastline to Cala di Volpe. A private path descends through juniper and lentisk to a small cove of white sand and turquoise water that is accessible only from the property. The house was designed in the Costa Smeralda's signature style - conceived by the Aga Khan's original architect consortium in the 1970s and recently renovated to contemporary standards. Rough-rendered white walls, granite lintels, juniper wood beams, and terracotta roof tiles create a building that appears to have emerged from the landscape rather than been imposed upon it. The renovation, completed in 2022, added a professional kitchen, underfloor cooling, and a home automation system while preserving every architectural detail. Seven bedrooms are distributed across the main house and a detached guest cottage. The main house contains five bedrooms on two levels, each with an en-suite bathroom finished in local granite and a terrace facing the sea. The guest cottage holds two bedrooms sharing a living room and kitchenette, offering independence for staff, a nanny, or guests who keep different hours. The infinity pool sits on the seaward terrace, oriented to face the Maddalena islands. A pool house includes a bar, changing rooms, and an outdoor shower. Below the pool, the private beach cove has a small wooden jetty where the property's tender - a 7-metre Novamarine - is moored for trips to the archipelago, the beach restaurants of Liscia Ruja, and the town of Porto Cervo. Porto Cervo, the Costa Smeralda's social centre with its marina, piazzetta, and luxury boutiques, is a 10-minute drive. Olbia airport, with direct flights from London, is 30 minutes.
