Villa Pevero

Villa Pevero looks directly over what many consider the Costa Smeralda's finest beach: a crescent of white sand backed by juniper-covered dunes, facing turquoise water so clear that the sandy bottom is visible 10 metres from shore. The property sits above the northern end of the bay, where a granite headland provides natural elevation and privacy, with a private path descending through the maquis to the beach in 3 minutes. The house was built in 2021 by a Milan-based practice that reinterpreted the Costa Smeralda vernacular in a contemporary key: the same rough white render, granite detailing, and juniper wood that define the original 1960s Aga Khan developments, but with larger openings, flatter roof lines, and a more fluid relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces. The result is a house that sits comfortably within the Costa Smeralda aesthetic while feeling decisively modern. Six bedrooms occupy two levels. The upper level contains four bedrooms, each with a terrace and unobstructed views over Pevero Bay. The lower level holds two bedrooms opening onto the garden and the pool. The master suite features a double-height living area, a walk-in wardrobe, and a bathroom with an outdoor shower enclosed by granite walls. Two swimming pools serve different purposes: a 20-metre lap pool for exercise, positioned at the edge of the property with an infinity view over the bay, and a shallower family pool in the garden, fenced and gated. A rooftop sundeck with 360-degree views, a bar, and a jacuzzi provides the setting for evening drinks as the sun sets behind the Gallura hills. Pevero Golf Club, one of the Mediterranean's most scenic courses, is a 5-minute drive. Porto Cervo is 10 minutes. The property includes use of a Riva Aquarama speedboat, moored at the Porto Cervo marina, with a skipper available daily for excursions to the Maddalena archipelago.
