Villa Arzachena occupies a hillside above the ancient town of Arzachena, the agricultural heart of the Gallura region and the gateway to the Costa Smeralda. The property's most distinctive feature is also its oldest: a Nuragic sacred well dating to approximately 1200 BC, one of Sardinia's Bronze Age hydraulic temples, sits within the estate's boundary among the olive trees. The well, excavated and conserved with the supervision of the Sardinian archaeological authority, is accessible to guests and provides a direct connection to the island's 3,000-year history. The modern compound comprises a main house and two guest cottages arranged around a central courtyard with an outdoor amphitheatre. The amphitheatre, with stone seating for 30, hosts occasional concerts during the summer season and provides an atmospheric setting for private dinners under the stars. The main house contains the communal spaces - a double-height living room with a granite fireplace, a professional kitchen, and a dining room seating 14 - plus three bedrooms on the upper floor. Each guest cottage contains two bedrooms with independent entrances, a sitting room, and a kitchenette. This distributed layout accommodates families or groups who want to gather for meals but maintain their own routines. The property includes a 2-acre Vermentino vineyard that produces approximately 1,000 bottles annually, vinified at a cooperative in Monti and bottled under the estate's label. The wine is served at the villa's table, and guests can participate in vineyard activities during the September harvest. A 15-metre pool overlooks the vineyard and the granite-studded hills beyond. The coast at Baia Sardinia is 15 minutes by car; Porto Cervo is 20 minutes. Arzachena town, with its Wednesday market and the Albucciu Nuraghe complex, is a 5-minute drive.
