Villa Minori clings to the terraced hillside above the fishing village of Minori, the Amalfi Coast's least touristed town and its culinary capital. The property descends through four levels of lemon groves connected by hand-laid stone staircases, with each level revealing a different aspect of the coast: Minori's beach directly below, the headland of Capo d'Orso to the east, and the pastel houses of Ravello on the ridge above. A private path through the lemon trees reaches the beach in 8 minutes on foot. The house was built in the 1920s by a Neapolitan pastry dynasty - the family that claims to have invented the sfogliatella di Minori - and the kitchen retains a professional character that reflects this heritage. A dedicated pasta room, separate from the main kitchen, contains a marble-topped worktable, drying racks, and a hand-cranked pasta machine from the 1950s. The resident chef offers daily pasta-making sessions for guests, teaching the local speciality of ndunderi alongside tagliatelle, ravioli, and the region's signature scialatielli. Five bedrooms are distributed across two levels of the main house. Each has a private terrace shaded by a lemon-tree canopy, tiled floors in hand-painted Vietri ceramics, and whitewashed walls thick enough to keep the rooms cool without air conditioning until late July. The master suite occupies the seaward corner with a wraparound terrace and an outdoor shower screened by jasmine. The pool sits on the broadest terrace, a 12-metre infinity design that appears to float above the village rooftops. Sun loungers line the pool deck between potted lemon trees, and a pergola at one end shelters an outdoor dining area where most meals are served. Minori's beach is a genuine sand beach - rare on the Amalfi Coast - with sunbed concessions and beachfront restaurants serving fried anchovies and chilled Falanghina. Ravello is a 10-minute drive uphill; Amalfi town is 5 minutes along the coast road. The Path of the Lemons, a historic walking trail through the terraced groves, passes directly above the property.
