Villa Eze

Villa Eze is perched on the Moyenne Corniche above the medieval village of Eze, at a point where the road turns and the entire eastern Riviera reveals itself: Monaco's towers to the east, Cap Ferrat's wooded headland to the west, and the open Mediterranean stretching south to the horizon. The house was designed by a Nice-based architect in 2020 as a series of cantilevered steel and glass volumes that project from the cliff face, creating the sensation of floating above the coast. Five bedrooms occupy the upper levels, each with a glass wall that retracts fully to merge the room with its terrace. The master suite cantilevers 3 metres beyond the cliff edge, with nothing between the bed and the 270-degree view but a low glass balustrade. The bathroom features a soaking tub carved from a single block of Carrara marble, positioned so that bathers face the same panorama. The main living space spans the middle level: a single room of 120 square metres with a kitchen, dining area, and lounge arranged around a central concrete hearth. The furniture is a curated selection of mid-century Italian and Scandinavian design. A home cinema occupies a lower level, with a 4-metre screen and a surround sound system. The infinity pool appears to dissolve into the coastline below. Heated year-round, it sits on the lowest terrace, accessible by an external glass elevator that descends through the cliff. A spa area beside the pool includes a sauna, a hammam, and a treatment room. Eze village, one of the Riviera's most photographed medieval perched villages, is a 5-minute drive or a 15-minute walk along the old mule path. Monaco is 10 minutes east; Nice is 15 minutes west. The property includes a chauffeur service for trips to the restaurants and events that line the coast.
