Villa Antibes occupies one of the last undeveloped plots on Cap d'Antibes, the wooded headland between Antibes and Juan-les-Pins that has been the preferred summer address of European and American wealth since the 1920s. The house was built in 1912 for a Parisian textile magnate and retains its Belle Epoque character: a symmetrical stone facade, tall shuttered windows, decorative ironwork balconies, and a double staircase descending from the main terrace to the garden. The current owners completed a restoration in 2021 that updated all mechanical systems while preserving every architectural detail. Seven bedrooms are distributed across three floors. The piano nobile contains the principal suite and two further bedrooms, all with original parquet floors, marble fireplaces, and ceiling heights exceeding 4 metres. Three bedrooms on the floor above are slightly more intimate, with sloped ceilings and dormer windows overlooking the garden. A garden-level suite with independent access is well suited for staff or guests who keep different hours. The garden is the property's greatest asset after its location. Two acres of mature Mediterranean plantings - umbrella pines, century-old olive trees, lavender hedges, and jasmine climbing the boundary walls - create a private paradise that screens the house entirely from the coastal path. A stone pathway descends through the garden to the property's private beach cove, a rocky inlet with a concrete bathing platform and a ladder into deep, clear water. The swimming pool, 18 metres long and heated, sits on the main terrace between the house and the garden. A pool house contains changing rooms, a shower, and a bar. The terrace is large enough to accommodate a dinner for 20 under the plane trees, and the resident chef regularly serves full-course meals here with the lights of the Esterel mountains visible across the bay. Antibes old town, with its Picasso Museum, covered market, and harbourside restaurants, is a 10-minute walk along the coastal path. Nice airport is 20 minutes by car. Cannes is 15 minutes along the coast.
